Renault Triber: The New Compact Car on the Block
Cars that exude luxury and offer spacious interiors are generally a preferred choice among Indians. Many years ago, this was achieved by Maruti Omni; in recent years, Toyota Innova has set a benchmark for space and comfort, albeit at a much higher price. However, Triber, Renault’s new launch, comes with a hope to change this perception, at a starting price of INR 4.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, New Delhi). In fact, it is the only sub-4-metre car capable of seating 7 passengers with optimum comfort!
Similar, yet different exteriors
As you approach this bold new sub-4-metre car, its Eagle Beak Split Tail Lamps presents a definitive unique look. The vehicle’s front-sloping stance, front and back SUV skid plates, and a Triple Edge Chrome Front Grille add to its distinctive exterior design. Daytime running LEDs further complement the car’s projector headlamps in this Renault new launch.
Interiors redefine space
Renault engineers have carved out space for 7 seats in a sub-4-metre car. Space available across all three rows is unmatched, wherein the 2nd-row seats can be slid, tumbled, and reclined. Try getting into the 3rd row, and you will realize that this is one of the few vehicles where two passengers can comfortably sit behind. EasyFix seats allow you to transform the vehicle into a 6- or 7-seater car. Moreover, if you remove the last row, you get a phenomenal 625 litres of boot space with a 5-seater configuration.
As you step inside, you will love the thoughtfulness behind different kinds of storage spaces. Not only do you get cooled storage in the centre console but also two large glove compartments. What’s more, this SUV comes with Front-Seat Back Pockets on the driver and passenger sides.
Functionally powered features
A 20.32-cm Touchscreen MediaNAV Evolution has been provided for infotainment. The car can be started and stopped with the help of a Push Start-Stop button, which is regarded as a norm in today’s cars. The Smart Access Card available with the Triber allows you to unlock the vehicle. The digital LED Instrument Cluster displays speed, distance travelled, RPM, and fuel level. White, blue, and red display colours illuminate beautifully in the dark.
The Triber’s AC can rapidly cool different parts of the vehicle in an efficient manner. AC vents have been conveniently provided on the dashboard, and there are rectangular vents for the 2nd and 3rd rows. You can charge mobile devices using the 12V charging slots provided in the 2nd and 3rd rows, or the USB charging port provided in the front.
The Renault Triber comes with a host of safety features such as rear parking sensors, pedestrian protection, speed alert warning, ABS, EBD, and a Front Airbag for both the driver and co-passenger. It would suffice to say, this car will keep you safe at all times!
In summary, Renault, with its new launch of the Triber, has introduced a host of convenience features at a fair price point; this reflects how the brand has paid close attention to the Indian consumer’s demands, delivering much more...for less.
